Simply Dental Hygiene

Our Hygiene Services

Our Practice Offers A Variety Of Dental Hygiene Services To Meet Your Individual Needs, Including Your Lifestyle Habits And Desired Outcome

Dental Cleanings/ Periodontal Therapy

Dental cleanings brighten your smile by removing biofilm, soft deposits, and tartar. Periodontal therapy goes beyond regular cleanings to treat gum disease. It removes biofilm, soft deposits, and tartar from below the gum line. This deep cleaning helps reduce inflammation, allowing your gums to heal and reattach to your teeth, ensuring a healthier mouth.

Polishing/Stain Removal

We offer both traditional teeth polishing and air polishing to keep your teeth clean and bright. Traditional polishing uses a rubber cup and paste to remove stains and plaque, while air polishing uses a mix of air, water, and fine powder to gently clean your teeth. Both methods help remove stain &biofilm and leave your teeth feeling smooth and fresh.

Sealants

Dental sealants are protective coatings for your teeth. They are applied to chewing surfaces of your back teeth preventing cavities by blocking out food and bacteria.

Tooth Desensitization and Fluoride Treatment

Fluoride helps strengthen tooth enamel, making it more resistant to decay caused by acids from bacteria and foods. Fluoride treatments are especially beneficial for children, adults at high risk of cavities, or those with sensitive teeth.

Wicked White Teeth Whitening

We provide both in-office and take-home professional teeth whitening options to effectively brighten your smile and achieve your smile goals. It is important to note that some patients may experience tooth sensitivity during the whitening process. This is sometimes due to the whitening agent penetrating the tooth enamel to help remove stains on your teeth. This process can cause some patients to experience mild discomfort, however, this discomfort is temporary and will subside within 24-48-hours. It is also important to note that while every patient wants to have the brightest and whitest smile possible, not every patient will be able to achieve these results. This is due to genetics, current stains, oral health, medications, tobacco, and a number of other factors that influence the brightness of our smiles. Some patients may also have permanently stained teeth, such as yellow or brown, and the teeth whitening procedure can only do so much. So, while we all want the brightest and whitest smiles, we want to ensure our patients expectations are properly met. We will cover all these details, and more, when you come in for your next dental hygiene appointment.

Periodontal Exams

A dental hygiene periodontal exam focuses on checking the health of your gums and the structures supporting your teeth. This comprehensive exam helps us identify and treat any gum disease early, ensuring your mouth stays healthy. Digital x-rays, intraoral photos and a comprehensive periodontal exam allow us to understand your needs and formulate personalized treatment options to achieve optimal oral health. Referrals to Dentists & Specialists will be coordinated as needed.

Oral Cancer Screening

An oral cancer screening is a quick and painless exam to check for signs of cancer in your mouth. During your dental visit, we'll look at your lips, gums, tongue, and the inside of your cheeks for any unusual spots or sores. We'll also gently feel around your neck and jaw for any lumps. It's a routine part of your check-up to ensure your mouth stays healthy.
